Metro area, Pivot Path Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and business solutions firm that offers enterprise IT solutions, strategic planning, organizational development, and medical research and development services to help customers adapt and thrive in changing market conditions. Pivot Path Solutions is seekinga highly qualified Clinical Pharmacogenomics (PGx) Pharmacist to support a Department of Defense pilot initiative aimed at integrating PGx testing into the Military Health System (MHS). This role will help drive the implementation of personalized medicine by leveraging pharmacogenomic data to improve drug efficacy, reduce adverse drug events, and enhance health outcomes for Active-Duty Service Members (ADSMs). This is a remote position. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply PGx testing results to clinical decision-making for specific therapeutic areas, including behavioral health, pain management, cardiology, infectious disease, and sleep disorders.

  • Support integration of PGx data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical workflows.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for clinical consultations, provider education, and PGx best practices across MHS facilities.

  • Collaborate with military clinicians and DHA research staff to develop and refine protocols for PGx implementation.

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary working groups focused on precision medicine and treatment optimization.

  • Contribute to data analysis on medication response, cost-effectiveness, and health outcomes associated with PGx-informed care.

  • Support reporting, documentation, and regulatory submissions in compliance with DoD research oversight requirements.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD from an accredited institution.

  • Post-graduate training or certification in Clinical Pharmacogenomics.

  • At least 3 years of experience in clinical application of PGx in a healthcare setting.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and researchers in clinical research or implementation projects.

  • Strong understanding of Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) guidelines.

  • Familiarity with EHR systems, especially within government or large health systems.

  • Eligible for government background investigation for CAC issuance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military or veteran healthcare systems (e.g., DHA, VA, MTFs).

  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 data security and DFARS regulations.

  • Experience with PGx-related software tools and telehealth delivery models.
